In the internationally renowned Folklore Library in Dublin, a short story by Bram Stoker was discovered, who became globally famous thanks to his famous book "Dracula". This text was found thanks to one of the old followers of the author more than 130 years after its publication.
The story titled "Jibbit Hill" was published as an addition to the release of the newspaper "Daily Mail" for the birthday issue of 1890 in Dublin, but was never mentioned in any research or biography of Bram Stoker. This literary find fell into the hands of writer and history enthusiast Brian Cleary, who, at the time of discovery, was 44 years old, in October 2023.
Speaking at the famous building "Marino Casino" in Dublin, where this text was revealed for the first time, Cleary stated: "I sat in the library in amazement, holding in my hands a forgotten copy of Stoker’s story". He was astonished that this short work dates "almost back to the time when Bram Stoker himself wrote 'Dracula'".
