Netflix announces the cast for the third season of 'Wednesday'. The series has become the fifth most-watched show in Netflix history.
"I feel very fortunate," the statement reads. The second season of 'Wednesday' premiered last year and quickly became the fifth most-watched English-language series of all time, following the unprecedented success of the first season, which remains the most-watched English-language series ever on Netflix.
The addition of some dear friends and former collaborators, like Eva, Chris, and Noah, makes this season even more special. "Don't say we didn't warn you," the creators added.
"I'm very excited to come back for a third season, and it's great to reunite with the entire original cast," said executive producer and director Tim Burton. "This season we welcome new students, new teachers, and we unearth some long-buried Addams family secrets. We thank our incredible cast and crew for their continued commitment to morbidity and gloom. To the fans, thank you for your patience and your voracious online commentary: your twisted theories have inspired nightmares."
According to the Argentine News Agency, joining the series are: Winona Ryder ('Beetlejuice', 'Stranger Things'), Chris Sarandon ('Dog Day Afternoon', 'The Princess Bride'), Noah Taylor ('Peaky Blinders', 'Game Of Thrones'), Oscar Morgan ('A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms', 'Gotham Knights'), Kennedy Moyer ('Task Force: Special Unit', 'Good Thief'), and others. Also joining the already announced Eva Green ('Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children', 'Dark Shadows'), who will play Ophelia, Morticia Addams' sister, along with returning cast members: Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and many more.
The creators, showrunners, and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar stated, "It is a dark pleasure for us to fling open the doors of Nevermore Academy once again as we begin production on the third season."
