Young Irish forward Michael Nunan has set a new record, surpassing the previous achievement of Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku became the youngest player to score a goal in the UEFA European League at the age of 16 years and 218 days. Now, Nunan, representing "Shamrock Rovers," is the youngest footballer to score a goal in the history of the club in European tournaments. His only goal secured a victory for his team 1-0 against Molde in the first match of the playoff round of the UEFA Conference League Round of 16.

The meeting with Molde was tense due to the fact that Valdemar Lund from Molde had been sent off for breaking the rules, leaving his team with fewer players. Ultimately, Michael Nunan scored the winning goal after a pass from Dilan Uottsta in the 57th minute of the match. The players from "Shamrock Rovers" proved to be connected not only by success in the game but also by their numerical superiority, using the red card shown to Valdemar Lund.
