Harvey Vale, who confirmed last week with FIFA that he has changed his sports nationality to Ireland, will join Queens Park Rangers, competing in the English Championship, in February 2025. The club announced the move in an official video posted on social media. The Football Association of Ireland announced on Thursday that Vale, the former captain of the England youth national team, has been called up to the national team to participate in the playoff qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup against the Czech Republic. The 25-year-old midfielder, who began his career at the Chelsea academy, captained the England under-19 team that won the European Championship in 2022.
